Empire fans, get ready to meet Lucious Lyon's mother!
Kelly Rowland is joining the Fox drama for Season 2, E! News reports. The Destiny's Child member will be seen in flashbacks as the mother of Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard). Does this mean we'll learn that Lucious got his musical chops from his mother? Highly likely!
Rowland is the latest addition to Empire's sophomore season. She joins a group of previously announced new cast members that includes Chris Rock, Marisa Tomei, Lenny Kravitz and Alicia Keys.
Last month, the Empire writing team posted a photo on Instagram of Rowland hanging out in the writers' room.
