Lena Dunham Objects to Justin Bieber’s New Single ‘What Do You Mean?’

Justin Bieber‘s “What Do You Mean?” has at least one hater. “Girls” creator Lena Dunham is not impressed with the “Baby” singer’s newest track, and has taken to social media to express her opinion.

“Let’s do away with pop songs where a girl nods yes when she means no and vice versa, k?” she said on Twitter Monday.

The writer, director and actress was taking aim at the lyrics of Bieber’s newest single, which features lines like “What do you mean?/When you nod your head yes/But you wanna say no/What do you mean?”

The music video for “What Do You Mean?” dropped on Sunday, right before Bieber performed the song live for the first time during the MTV Video Music Awards.

The singer previously explained that the song isn’t about sex, but communication in relationships in general.

“Well, girls are often just flip-floppy,” Bieber told Ryan Seacrest in July. “They say something and they mean something else. So … what do you mean? I don’t really know, that’s why I’m asking.”
