‘Lying Game’ Cancelled, Tweets Star
ABC Family has pulled the plug on The Lying Game, star Alexandra Chando has tweeted: “Sad news @abcfLyingGame was cancelled!” Back in April, Deadline’s Nellie Andreeva reported it had been more than a month since Lying Game aired its second-season finale and six months since the series wrapped production. But ABC Family had yet to make a decision on the future of the show based of Sara Shepard’s books about a foster child who learns she has an identical twin sister who was adopted by a wealthy couple. The Disney-owned cable network execs asked producer Warner Horizon to extend the options on cast so it could see how its summer series launched before making a decision on The Lying Game. A deadline date was set — that date was today.
