Man told 'Dr. Phil' he didn't murder Texas woman

HOUSTON (AP) — A man who taped an interview for the "Dr. Phil" show days before police say he confessed to killing his ex-girlfriend in Houston and then dumping her body hundreds of miles away in a West Texas oil field told the TV personality he didn't murder the woman.

Mark Augustin Castellano has been charged with murder in last month's slaying of 31-year-old Michelle Warner.

Police say Castellano confessed on Sunday, two days after taping an interview with "Dr. Phil" host Phil McGraw.

In a clip released by the show Tuesday, McGraw asks "Did you kill her?"

Castellano replies, "No sir."

Castellano also denied hiding Warner's body. The interview will air Thursday.

Police say Castellano drove Warner's body from Houston to West Texas before burying it in a ditch near Midland.
