Matthew Broderick is heading to Modern Family.

The veteran actor will play a "neurotic new friend" of Phil's in an episode of the sitcom's upcoming fourth season, ABC announced Friday.

The last time Phil (Ty Burrell) hung out with a friend (played by comedian Kevin Hart), he bought a convertible. What will he and Broderick's character get up to?

Modern Family premieres on Wednesday, Sept. 26 at 9/8c.
