Maura Tierney Joins Showtime Pilot The Affair

Maura Tierney has joined the cast of Showtime's pilot The Affair, Deadline.com reports.

Created by In Treatment producers Sarah Treem and Hagai Levi, the project will follow two marriages in the aftermath of an affair. Dominic West plays Noah, a devoted father and husband who meets a woman (Ruth Wilson) he believes is his soulmate. Tierney will play Noah's wife Helen, whose world is rocked by her husband's affair.

Tierney, whose credits include ER and Rescue Me, currently recurs on The Good Wife.

Shameless' Mark Mylod will executive-produce the project alongside Treem and Levi.
