Michelle MacLaren Inks ‘Wonder Woman’ Gig

As expected, Warner Bros. has signed Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad helmer Michelle MacLaren to direct Wonder Woman, the Gal Gadot-starring tentpole slated to hit theaters in 2017. The DC Comics superheroine standalone will be developed by MacLaren with scribes the studio’s still keeping under wraps; Charles Roven, Zack Snyder, and Debbie Snyder are producing alongside Richard Suckle. MacLaren was atop WB’s shortlist of potential helmers for the high profile tentpole, which will continue WB’s DC superhero universe after Snyder’s Batman v. Superman: Dawn Of Justice and David Ayer’s Suicide Squad in 2016.
