Viewers might not get a chance to revisit The Munsters after all. NBC is unlikely to proceed with the Bryan Fuller reboot Mockingbird Lane, The Hollywood Reporter and Deadline both report.

Fuller, however, denied the reports Monday night tweeting, "NBC just informed me the Deadline article regarding #MockingbirdLane was Dead Wrong. Stay tuned for updates!" While no final decision has been made, both sites report that the project is all but dead.

Pushing Daisies' Beth Grant moves to Munsters reboot Mockingbird Lane

The series, which had been in development for two years, was slated to star Jerry O'Connell as patriarch Herman Munster, Portia de Rossi as his wife Lily and Eddie Izzard as Grandpa. Unlike the original, Mockingbird Lane had evolved into more of a family drama than a campy comedy. The series was also set to feature Fuller's striking visuals, made famous in the late Pushing Daisies.

Fuller still has another project at NBC: Hannibal, a midseason drama about Hannibal Lecter.

Do you hope Mockingbird Lane makes it through?
