NBC closed out a strong fall last week with another victory in key demos, this time blowing away the competish behind “Sunday Night Football” and the cycle finale of “The Voice.”

The Peacock also got solid perfs from limited-run series “The Sing-Off” and kept the lights on with encores of holiday faves like “SNL Christmas” and “It’s a Wonderful Life.”

CBS, which still had enough to win in total viewers, aired original episodes of its scripted series on Monday, Tuesday and Friday, but otherwise Fox’s “Almost Human” was the only other firstrun comedy or drama on the Big Four or CW.

According to Nielsen, NBC finished on top in adults 18-49 for the 12th time in 13 weeks this season, pacing the Dec. 16-22 sesh with a 2.4 rating/7 share, followed by CBS (1.7/5), ABC (1.2/4) and Fox (1.1/4) and Univision (1.0/3). The Peacock also led in adults 25-54 with a 3.0 rating/8 share, well ahead of runner-up CBS (2.3/6).

For NBC, “Sunday Night Football” was easily the frame’s top primetime program in 18-49 (6.2/18) even though the game was the NFL season’s most lopsided result (the Eagles beat the Bears by 43 points).

Tuesday’s fifth-season finale of “The Voice” (4.0/11 in 18-49, 14.01 million viewers overall) delivered the show’s best scores since October, but that left it down 18% in 18-49 from its year-ago fall season (4.9, the show’s best season-ending rating) and also 9% below its spring-season finale (4.4). It held up better in total viewers, down just 1% from a year ago and up a bit from spring.

Also contributing for NBC were “The Sing-Off” (2.0/6 in 18-49, 7.28m on Monday and 1.6/5 in 18-49, 5.49m on Wednesday) and “The Biggest Loser” (2.0/6 in 18-49, 6.99m). A repeat of clips show “SNL Christmas” was well above average for the net from 9 to 11 p.m. on Thursday (1.7/5 in 18-49, 4.30m), and concert special “A Michael Buble Christmas” did OK on Wednesday (1.3/4 in 18-49, 5.03m).

Friday’s telecast of “It’s A Wonderful Life” (1.1/4 in 18-49, 5.47m) was up 38% from last year when it aired on a Saturday.

CBS was a solid second among the Big Four on both Monday and Tuesday, led respectively by “How I Met Your Mother” (2.7/8 in 18-49, 7.71m) and “NCIS” (2.9/9 in 18-49, 19.65m) — the latter of which was primetime’s most-watched program overall for the week. And faring about as well as those originals in young adults was Thursday’s encore of “The Big Bang Theory” (2.8/9 in 18-49, 11.25m).

On Friday, the hourlong, colorized “I Love Lucy Christmas Special” won its timeslot with a 1.4/5 in 18-49 and 8.71 million total viewers.

Things were pretty quiet at ABC, with the net faring best with specials on Wednesday with its annual “Barbara Walters Presents: The 10 Most Fascinating People” special (2.2/7 in 18-49, 8.89m) and on Thursday with a repeat of “A Charlie Brown Christmas” (1.7/5 in 18-49, 6.41m) and year-in-review program “The Year” (1.4/4 in 18-49, 5.68m).

Sunday’s telecast of “The Sound of Music” (1.3/4 in 18-49, 6.56m) drew the theatrical classic’s largest overall audience in six years, likely boosted by interest in the recent live version on NBC, which drew huge numbers.

At Fox, Thursday’s “X Factor” finale (1.7/5 in 18-49, 6.22m) was up from the series’ penultimate, hourlong results show of the previous week (1.2) but it was down a steep 45% in the demo from last year (3.1) and 36% in total viewers (from 9.7 million). And last week’s finale delivered less than half of what the show wrapped with in its inaugural season of 2011 (3.8 in 18-49, 12.6 million total viewers).
