NBC to Host Telethon for Hurricane Sandy Relief With Springsteen, Billy Joel and Bon Jovi

Hurricane Sandy Telethon to Include Springsteen, Billy Joel, Bon Jovi, Mary J. Blige (Updated)

NBC Universal announced on Thursday that it will air a star-studded, one-hour telethon and concert Friday night to raise money for Hurricane Sandy relief efforts.

"Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together" will be hosted by "Today" show's Matt Lauer at NBC's Rockefeller Plaza studios. Musicians scheduled to perform include a string of New York and New Jersey natives like Billy Joel, Jon Bon Jovi and Bruce Springsteen, as well as Sting and Christina Aguilera.

Jimmy Fallon, the host of NBC's "Late Night" and NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams will also appear.

The show will be broadcast simultaneously on NBC, Bravo, CNBC, E!, G4, MSNBC, Style, Syfy, USA and NBC.com, the feed will go from 8 to 9 p.m. ET on the East Coast with a tape delay on the West Coast.

NBC said the money raised from the event will be donated to the American Red Cross.
