NBC has given series orders to the Chicago Fire spin-off Chicago PD, Blair Underwood drama Ironside and Bill Lawrence's Undateable, TVGuide.com has confirmed.
From Dick Wolf, Chicago PD will center on the Chicago Police Department's uniformed cops and Intelligence Unit. Jason Beghe and Jon Seda will star, along with Tania Ramonde, Scott Eastwood, Melissa Sagemiller and Kelly Blatz. Fans of Chicago Fire got their first look at the spin-off, with the future Chiacgo PD characters introduced on Wednesday's episode. The characters will also be seen in the final two episodes of Chicago Fire's freshman season.
A remake of the 1960s drama, Ironside follows an acerbic police detective (Underwood) who uses a wheelchair and pushes and prods his hand-picked team to solve the most difficult cases in the city. The Sopranos' Michael Caleo will write and executive-produce with American Horror Story's David Semel. Spencer Grammer, Brent Sexton, Pablo Schreiber, Kenneth Choi and Neal Bledsoe will also star.
Fall TV Scorecard: Renewed or canceled?
Undateable chronicles a group of friends, dubbed the "undateables," as they welcome a more confident guy (Whitney's Chris D'Elia) to their fold. Due Date scribe Adam Sztykiel will write and executive-produce with Cougar Town's Lawrence. Brent Morin, Matthew Wilkas, Briga Heelan, Bianca Kajlich, Ron Funches and Rick Glassman will co-star.
