NBCUniversal Domestic TV Distribution has sold Steve Harvey to NBC-owned stations through 2016, NBC announced on Wednesday.

The syndicated show, which received an early second-season renewal, will now  be broadcast for at least two more years in more than 65 percent of the country.

Steve Harvey is the new king of daytime

"Steve is one of the best entertainers in the country and his first season has been a tremendous success because of the personal connection he makes with the daytime audience," Ted Harbert, Chairman of NBC Broadcasting, said. "It's so great to see Steve's very funny and substantive show being rewarded with long-term commitments from our station partners."

Steve Harvey, who was named Favorite New Daytime Show Host at the 2013 People's Choice Awards, has found big success since his show debuted in 2012. In May, Steve Harvey was the No. 1 new first-run show with women 18-49 and women 25-54 nationally.
