As anyone who has seen an episode of "Once Upon a Time" can attest, the ABC drama series is nothing short of magical. With its compelling storylines and characters that seem to live and breathe on the screen before us, this series reminds us of the kinds of things that good quality television can attain, and nowhere is this more evident than in the second season.
More CoraOne of the most exciting and fun parts of the second season so far has been the showcasing of Regina's wicked and manipulative mother, Cora, who brings her venom in big time. Although she remains trapped in the Enchanted Forest, it looks like she is willing to do whatever it takes to get to the other side, reunite with her daughter, and perhaps even try to claim Henry for herself. Barbara Hershey brings a certain bite to the screen that makes her a perfect evil counterpart in the Enchanted Forest.
Captain HookThe arrival of Captain Hook on the scene has excited fans of all types, and it's easy to see why. With his guyliner and his smoldering good looks, what's not to love about the irascible pirate? Although he hasn't appeared much as of yet (a mere two episodes), we can hope that he will come to play an even greater role as his plans (and those of Cora) are developed and we get to see more of what makes him tick. And who can't wait to see the epic confrontation that will no doubt result when he finally makes his way to Storybrooke and challenges Mr. Gold?
Development of ReginaFrom the very beginning, Regina has been one of the most captivating and compelling characters on the series, and the second season has even more fully developed her. As her recent destruction of Daniel indicates, she is a complex character who is faced with a lot of challenges. Regardless of where her story arc finally ends up, however, we will all be on the edge of our seats wondering whether there can be any redemption for a woman who has done so much to bring pain to so many.
Clearly, there is a lot to love about "Once Upon a Time" Season 2. Remember to keep tuning in, so that fans can get a third season and experience even more of the magic and enchantment.
