The 2016 Academy Awards will have two hosts.

David Hill, one of the recently announced producers of next year's event, tells Entertainment Weekly that the ceremony will have two hosts because "two is better than one." (Good luck telling that to anyone who tuned in for James Franco and Anne Hathaway's disastrous pairing for the 2011 Oscars.)

However, Hill's co-producer, Reginald Hudlin, later clarified that they're "in the brainstorming phrase," and that co-hosts is merely something that's been discussed at this stage. "We've talked about a lot of different configurations," Hudlin tells EW.

Among the possibilities: Amy Poehler and Tina Fey, who successfully helmed the Golden Globes three years in a row; and Jordan Peele and Keegan-Michael Key, whose Comedy Central sketch show Key & Peele is coming to an end. Then, of course, there's always It Girl Amy Schumer and her new BFF Jennifer Lawrence, Hollywood darling Chris Pratt, and really, any number of stars whom producers could turn to in order to perk up the tired broadcast.

Hill also (jokingly?) told EW: "If we run out of options, it's going to be Reggie and me as hosts."

Having two co-hosts is not unprecedented for the Oscars. In addition to Franco and Hathaway, Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin also teamed up in 2010.
