The Price Is Right Definitely Gave Away a Treadmill to a Woman with No Legs

On Tuesday's taping of The Price Is Right, a woman with no legs won a treadmill.

I know that you're thinking that sounds like a poorly thought out Saturday Night Live sketch, but it's not. It really happened to Danielle Perez and the entire cringe-worthy moment quickly made its way online.

25 Bubble Shows: Which will survive?

Perez, who is a comedian, lost her legs in an accident in 2004 and uses a wheelchair to get around. When she won the treadmill, she didn't think it was real, but the staff members were all really excited. "I kept thinking that it was a really big joke," Perez told CNN, "but there was no irony in their cheers or applause."

CBS used this opportunity to remind the world that the show is not rigged in any way. "Every member of the The Price is Right studio audience has a chance to be selected to play," CBS said in a statement. "Prizes are determined in advance of the show and are not decided based on the contestants."

Still, wasn't there, like, a poker table or big screen TV or I don't know, a vending machine from the break room that they could have swapped out instead?

Fortunately, Perez seems to have a better sense of humor about the entire incident than I would have (must be the comedian side to her). She even tweeted a photo of herself from the show with the caption, "When you win a treadmill on national TV, but you have no feet."
