Executive-produced and directed by Pete Berg ("Friday Night Lights"), "Bloodline" is billed as a pulpy, highly stylized thrill ride that catapults the viewer into the cheeky world of Bird Benson, a smart, irreverent and strong young girl who, due to an accident of birth, finds herself caught in the middle of an epic struggle between two warrior families set against the backdrop of modern suburbia.

Strickland will play Stella Killpriest, Benson's mother. The character is described as "an achingly beautiful loose cannon with what can only be described as an epic detachment disorder." She's also been raised in a family descended from an ancient line of killers brigands and mercenaries."

David Graziano ("Terra Nova," "Lie to Me") is writing as well as executive producing the project which comes from Universal Television and Film 44.

Sarah Aubrey is also executive producing.
