The Big Bang Theory kicked off 2013 with a huge, well, bang.

The CBS sitcom hit a viewership series high, drawing 19 million viewers Thursday, and matched a series high in the 18-to-49 demographic with a 6.0 rating.

That boosted Two and a Half Men (15.4 million, 4.6) to season highs and Person of Interest (16.1 million, 3.4) to series highs in both measures. Elementary (11.4 million, 2.5) posted its best numbers since its series premiere.

Fox was the only other network to air original programming, with another Mobbed double-header that averaged 2.9 million viewers and a 1.1.
