Ratings: CBS Wins as ‘Criminal Minds’ Gains

CBS topped Wednesday in both ratings and viewers, staving off ABC and the night’s highest-rated program, “Modern Family.”

CBS was first in ratings with a 2.4 rating/7 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and first in total viewers with an average of 10.6 million, according to preliminary numbers. ”Survivor” at 8 p.m. earned a 2.4/7 and 9.8 million viewers.

At 9, “Criminal Minds” received a 2.7/7 — up 17 percent from last week — and 11.6 million viewers — the most of the night and of its season. “CSI” at 10 got a 1.9/6 and 10.3 million viewers.

ABC was second in ratings with a 2.2/6 and in total viewers with 7.1 million. “The Middle” at 8 earned a 2.3/7 and 8.9 million viewers. “Back in the Game” received a 1.8/5 and 6.4 million viewers at 8:30. At 9, “Modern Family” got a 3.8/10 and 10.6 million viewers. “Super Fun Night” at 9:30 earned a 2.1/6 — up 24 percent from two weeks ago, when it was up against the World Series — and 5.9 million viewers. “Nashville” at 10 received a 1.5/4 and 5.4 million viewers.

Fox was third in ratings with a 1.7/5 and in total viewers with 5.8 million. “The X Factor” was the only show on the network’s schedule.

NBC was in fourth in ratings with a 1.4/4 and in total viewers with 5.4 million. At 8, “Revolution” earned a 1.4/4 — flat with last week and tying a series low — and 5.1 million viewers. “Law & Order: SVU” at 9 received a 1.6/4 and 6.1 million viewers. “Dateline NBC” at 10 earned a 1.1/3 and 5.1 million viewers.

Univision was in fifth in ratings with a 1.3/4 and in viewers with 3.6 million.

The CW was sixth in ratings with a 0.9/2 and in total viewers 2.3 million. “Arrow” at 8 earned a 1.1/3 — matching its season high — and 3 million viewers. “The Tomorrow People” at 9 received a 0.6/2 and 1.7 million viewers.

Telemundo was seventh in ratings with a 0.6/2 and in total viewers with 1.5 million.
