Ratings: Fox, CBS Split Wednesday Wins With ‘Bullseye,’ ‘Briefcase’ Debuts

Fox’s “Bullseye” didn’t quite hit the mark on Wednesday’s premiere, but coupled with “MasterChef” the network topped the night in the key adults 18-49 demographic.

CBS’s “The Briefcase” faired better, handing that network a close second place in the demo and a comfortable victory among total viewers. That reality debut was the most-watched hour in primetime last night.

Fox was first in ratings with a 1.3 rating/5 share in the advertiser-coveted demographic, but third in total viewers with an average of 3.98 million, according to preliminary numbers. “MasterChef” at 8 p.m. received a night-high 1.5/6 and had 4.6 million viewers. “Bullseye” at 9 got a 1.1/4 and 3.4 million viewers.

CBS was second in ratings with a 1.2/4 and first in viewers with 6.3 million. “The Briefcase” at 8 posted a 1.3/5 and primetime-best 6.8 million viewers. Reruns followed.

ABC was third in ratings with a 1.0/4 and second in viewers with 4.03 million. At 8, “500 Questions” received a 1.0/4 and 4.9 million viewers. After repeats, “Celebrity Wife Swap” at 10 had a 1.1/4 and 3.4 million viewers.

NBC was fourth in ratings with a 0.9/3 and in viewers with 3.8 million. Following a rerun, the “iHeart Country Festival” at 9 got a 1.0/3 and 4.1 million viewers.

Univision was fifth in ratings with a 0.8/3 and in viewers with 2.3 million.

Telemundo was sixth in ratings with a 0.6/2 and in viewers with 1.4 million.

The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.2/1 and in viewers with 885,000, airing entirely repeats.
