The musical one-two punch of American Idol and Glee led Fox to a Tuesday win in the demo.

Boosted by Idol as a lead-in, Glee's season finale pulled in 7.6 million viewers and a 3.0 in the adults 18-to-49 demographic, up 20 percent from last week. Idol's final performance show earned 14.4 million viewers and a 4.2 — the night's highest rating — but it was down 14 percent from last week's two-hour show on Wednesday and marks an all-time low for a finale performance show.

ABC topped the night in viewership with Dancing with the Stars' two-hour finale, which averaged 17.5 million viewers and a 3.2 for a results show season-high. However, the show slumped 30 percent in the demo compared to last spring's finale.

On NBC, America's Got Talent (9.3 million, 3.2) tied Dancing in the demo in the 9 o'clock hour. Dateline NBC scored 5.05 million viewers and a 1.6.
