Ratings: Gossip Girl Returns Low, Castle Rises and (Most) CBS Shows Eye a Possible Uptick
Gossip Girl‘s farewell tour got off to a tepid start on Monday night, with the final season premiere netting just 770,000 total viewers and a 0.4 demo rating — down 33 percent from its May finale.
Setting the table for the UES gang, 90210‘s season opener (with a million viewers and a 0.5 rating) was right on par with its Season 4 finale (which aired on a Tuesday).
The night’s biggest gainer was ABC’s Castle, which rose 2 and 16 percent to deliver season highs of 10.6 mil and a 2.2. Meanwhile, all of CBS’ line-up — save for How I Met Your Mother — is looking at possible upticks, though some football preemptions need to be factored out, so…. For now, HIMYM (8.1 mil/3.2) was steady, Partners (6.4 mil/2.2) looks up a tenth, 2 Broke Girls (10.1 mil/3.7) is poised for a 6 percent bump, Mike & Molly (9.4 mil/3.1) at this moment shows a gain of two tenths and Hawaii Five-0 (9 mil/2.2) may be up 10 percent.
Elsewhere on the night:
* Dancing With the Stars (13.33 mil/2.1) inched up 8 percent in total audience and was Monday’s most watched program.

* The Voice (12.6 mil/4.7) dominated in the demo, rising a tenth to match its highest rating since March 12. Revolution (8.2 mil/3.1) slipped just a tenth in the demo while rock-steady in total audience.
* Bones (7.1 mil/2.0) dipped a tenth, while The Mob Doctor (3.5 mil/0.9) lost another tenth in the demo. Paddles!
