Ratings: How I Met Your Mother Soars; 90210 Goes Out with a Whimper

How I Met Your Mother met huge ratings Monday with its reveal of the titular Mother.

The Season 8 finale drew 8.4 million viewers and a 3.4 in the adults 18-to-49 demographic, up eight-tenths from last week and beating The Voice in their shared half-hour. It was, however, down three-tenths from last season's finale.

2 Broke Girls (8.9 million, 2.9) and Mike & Molly (8.3 million, 2.4) both rose a few tenths, but Hawaii Five-0 (7.7 million, 1.8) slipped a tenth.

On NBC, The Voice netted 11 million viewers and a 3.6, down five-tenths from last week. Revolution (5.7 million, 1.9) was off a tenth.

ABC's Dancing with the Stars (13 million, 2.0) was flat and the season finale of Castle (11.3 million, 2.2) inched up two-tenths.

The two-hour series finale of The CW's 90210 went out with a mere 620,000 and a 0.3, even with last week, and Fox's Hell's Kitchen (4 million, 1.7) was down a bit from last Tuesday's show.
