RATINGS RAT RACE: ‘Family Guy’ Rises, ‘The Amazing Race’ & ‘NYC 22′ Drop

The first Sunday of the May sweep was a quiet one, with most series staying within a tenth of a demo rating of their most recent originals. ABC’s Once Upon A Time (2.9/8 in adults 18-49) was even with its fast national from last week, down a tenth from the final, to rank as the No.1 program of the night among adults 18-49. Desperate Housewives (2.5/6) was down a tenth from its last new episode four weeks ago as the veteran dramedy returns for its final four episodes. GCB (1.9/5) was up 27% from its last original, which followed the low-rated Titanic mini-series and flat with its last outing after a new Desperate Housewives. ABC won the night in 18-49.

CBS’ The Amazing Race (2.2/6) fell 15% from last week to tie its season low. The season finale of The Good Wife (1.7/4), which has already been renewed for fall, was down a tenth from its fast national last week and two tenths from the final to tie its series low. In week 3, CBS’ new rookie cop drama NYC 22 (1.2/3) fell 14% to non-renewable levels. CBS won the night in total viewers. NBC’s Harry’s Law (0.9/2) held steady while Celebrity Apprentice (1.9/5) was down a tenth from its fast national last week, two tenths from the final. At 7:30 PM, Fox’s The Cleveland Show (1.5/5) was up 25% from four weeks ago. The Simpsons (2.3/7) was even with its last original two weeks ago as was Bob’s Burgers (1.9/5). Family Guy (2.8/7) was up 12% from its last new episode four weeks ago, while another episode of Cleveland Show (1.9/5) at 9:30 PM was down a tenth from the delivery of American Dad in the time slot four weeks ago.
