Ratings Rat Race: ‘Off Their Rockers’ Down, ‘Rock Center’ Up; ‘Idol’ Takes Season Lead

Flat continues to be the new up, with most series last night even or down from their last originals. Three weeks before the end of the season, American Idol moved into the top ratings position it has held since its first in-season cycle. Following last night’s Top 5 performance show (4.6/13 in adults 18-49, even with last week’s fast national), Fox’s reality veteran has surpassed NBC’s The Voice, whose average is boosted by its airing after the Super Bowl, to become the No. 1 show of the season in the 18-49 demographic. The two-hour Idol also delivered another Wednesday win for Fox in 18-49 and total viewers.
