Ratings: ‘The Sing-Off’ Finale Drops on Typically Low-Rated Night

NBC’s “The Sing-Off” aired its lowest-rated finale to date on Monday, a night when ratings were low all-around.

“The Sing-Off” earned a 1.3 rating in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic on Monday. Last year’s singing competition ended on Nov. 28 to a 1.6. A December 2011 special that aired following the season ender earned a lower rating, but was not technically the finale that year.

ABC was first in ratings with a 1.3 rating/4 share in the key demo and first in total viewers with an average of 5.1 million, according to preliminary numbers. Due to local market NFL preemptions, numbers for ABC and CBS are subject to change. Network insiders tell TheWrap that it is very likely that ABC will drop into a tie for first, or out of first place altogether, when final ratings numbers come out.

NBC was second in ratings with a 1.2/4 and third in total viewers with 4.6 million. “The Sing-Off” finale at 8 earned a 1.3/4 and 5.2 million viewers. A “Hollywood Game Night” holiday special received a 1.0/3 and 3.5 million viewers.

CBS was third in ratings with a 1.1/4 and second in total viewers with 4.9 million, airing entirely repeats.
