Raven-Symone Set to Return to Disney Channel

Raven-Symoné is returning to Disney Channel, the network announced on Friday.

The “That’s So Raven” star will make a guest appearance on the Sept. 7 episode of “K.C. Undercover,” the children’s network’s comedy series starring Zendaya as teen-aged spy K.C. Cooper.

Raven-Symoné will play former spy and computer engineering expert Simone Deveraux (Raven-Symoné), who assists Zendaya’s character when her family’s sophisticated robot, Judy, runs away and is captured by enemy agents.

“K.C. Undercover” also stars Kadeem Hardison, Tammy Townsend, Kamil McFadden, Trinitee Stokes and Veronica Dunne. Zendaya serves as a co-producer on the series, which was created by Corinne Marshall and is executive-produced by Rob Lotterstein.

Raven-Symoné was named as a new regular co-host of ABC’s morning talk show “The View” last month, joining the current line-up of Whoopi Goldberg, Michelle Collins, Nicole Wallace and Rosie Perez. Wallace and Perez will exit as hosts at the end of the show’s current season.
