Robert Mills Named SVP, Alternative Series, Specials, Late Night At ABC
Robert Mills has been named senior vice president, alternative series, specials and late-night programming, ABC Entertainment, effective immediately.
He will oversee development, current production and specials for ABC’s alternative series. He also has oversight of the alternative series staff and reports directly to Paul Lee, president of ABC Entertainment Group.
Mills has overseen production on “Shark Tank,” “Dancing With the Stars,” “The Taste” and the new series from Ellen DeGeneres, “Repeat After Me,” and Mark Burnett’s “500 Questions.” Mills’ previous role included oversight of network special events, including “The American Music Awards,” “The CMA Awards,” “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest,” “The Billboard Awards” and the upcoming 87th Oscars.
Prior to joining the ABC alternative department in 2003, Mills began his career as an assistant in the Alternative Department at CAA. Mills holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Stonehill College and a Master of Fine Arts in Film from Loyola Marymount University.
