‘Rosewood’ Gets Order for 3 Additional Scripts From Fox

Fox has ordered three more scripts for freshman crime drama “Rosewood,” TheWrap has learned.

The series stars Morris Chestnut as private pathologist Dr. Beaumont Rosewood Jr., a private pathologist in Miami, Florida, who partners with Det. Annalise Villa (Jaina Lee Ortiz).

The show has performed well in the ratings since its debut, serving as the lead in to Fox’s megahit music drama “Empire.”

It opened to a 2.4 rating/9 share in the advertser coveted adults 18-49 demographic and 7.4 million viewers. Subsequent episodes have netted a 1.9/7 and 6.2 million viewers and a 1.7/6 and 5.7 million viewers respectively.
