Poor Rosie O'Donnell.

On Thursday, CNN reported that her daughter Chelsea had moved out of O'Donnell's house to live with her birth mother. Chelsea turned 18 on Monday, making her legally able to live wherever she wants.

Chelsea first connected with her birth mother last fall, when Deanna Micoley found out the infant she'd given up for adoption at 2 months old had been adopted by Rosie O'Donnell and renamed. In an interview with the National Enquirer, Micoley alleges her then-husband doped her up on heroin and strong-armed her into surrendering the baby. She also said O'Donnell knew about the suspicious circumstances surrounding the baby's adoption; a claim O'Donnell vehemently denies.

"Chelsea made a decision when she turned 18 that she wanted to go to her birth mother," O'Donnell's rep told CNN. "This was her choice."

August has not been kind to O'Donnell: First, Donald Trump had some ugly words for her at the GOP debate; a few days later, her 17-year-old daughter Chelsea went missing and was found living in the home of a 25-year-old former heroin dealer; and earlier this week, the comedian's dad passed away.
