There will be a new face in Bon Temps when True Blood returns next summer.

Dutch actor Rutger Hauer, who has starred in films like Blade Runner and Sin City, has been cast as a series regular for Season 6 of HBO's vampire series, TVGuide.com has confirmed.

The veteran actor will play a character named Macklyn, who is described as "mysterious and sinister" and has "deep ties" to Sookie (Anna Paquin) and Jason Stackhouse (Ryan Kwanten), according to TVLine, which first reported the casting. Could that connection be that he killed their parents? As we learned last season, one "M. Warlow" is the presumed killer of the Stackhouses.

Hauer's other TV credits include guest roles on Smallville and Alias.

Do you think Hauer is Warlow?

Season 6 of True Blood will premiere next summer.
