The first teaser for Oliver Stone's Edward Snowden biopic has arrived, and it gives the first hint of Edward Snowden's background before he became the National Security Agency contractor we now know.
Adapted from the books The Snowden Files: The Inside Story of the World's Most Wanted Man by Luke Harding and Time of the Octopus by Snowden's Russian Lawyer Anatoly Kucherena, Snowden stars Joseph Gorden-Levitt as the famed whistleblower and Shailene Woodley as his girlfriend, Lindsay Mills. Zachary Quinto, Nicolas Cage, Melissa Leo, Tom Wilkinson and Rhys Ifans also star.
The teaser highlights Snowden's military career before becoming "the most wanted man in the world" with the help of an upside down American flag and one heck of a score. Take a look:
