The Stars of ‘Million Dollar Listing’ Try to Find a Balance Between Work and Personal Lives

Becoming a real estate mogul when you're in your late 20s or early 30s is not an easy task. That's what separates the stars of Bravo's "Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles" from the average agent. But being successful at such a young age doesn't come without sacrifice. As Josh Flagg, Josh Altman, and Madison Hildebrand explained in a recent conference call interview, it's not always easy to find balance.

Josh Altman Is on a Mission to Make $150 Million in 2012.

The newest and perhaps most driven member of the cast, Josh Altman has sold $75 million worth of real estate in the first five months of 2012 and has set the goal of moving $150 million worth of property by the end of the year. He recently closed a sale with "Million Dollar Listing New York" Realtor Fredrik Eklund -- a brownstone that went for $10 million. Not surprisingly he explained that his life is "All business all the time."

But that doesn't mean Altman doesn't have a personal life. The 31-year-old made quite a splash when he joined the show in Season 3. Not only did he prove to be an aggressive agent, but he upset Hildebrand when he started dating his assistant Heather Bilyeu.

The couple is still together and, no doubt, their relationship will continue to unfold on the new season. But Bilyeu probably wouldn't be surprised to hear that work is the top priority in Altman's life. He conceded, "When you're a realtor of this caliber, it's a lifestyle, and it's a lifestyle that you choose. I love what I do for a living so as far as separating it, I do bring it home with me. I don't mind dealing with it all the time. I'd rather be doing that than anything else. So that's how I deal with it."

Madison Hildebrand Has Learned to Compartmentalize.

As for Hildebrand, he's spent the last few years trying to strike a balance between business and pleasure. As the 31-year-old remarked, "It took a couple of years to learn to not be affected emotionally when I left the office and not let the things that were going on with my clients and the deals not bring me down or bring me up. But now I feel like it's been compartmentalized."

He continued, "I have to have my time to go and exercise or go out in the ocean or go and spend a nice lunch or a dinner and just find that time where I don't have to attention to my phone… Unless babies are dying, it can wait."

Josh Flagg Will Explore 'The Family Aspect' of His Relationship on 'Million Dollar Listing.'

Flagg seems to have struck the greatest balance in his life. He is frequently seen on "Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles" visiting with his grandmother, who has clearly been a driving force in his life. And he came out on the show in 2011, revealing to viewers that he had a long-term boyfriend named Colton Thorn. The 26-year-old says the relationship will play out more this season, and the show will explore "the family aspect" of his personal life.

Watch all the high priced drama unfold when "Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles" airs on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. EST/8 p.m. CST on Bravo.
