Stephen Colbert’s ‘Late Show’ Lands Supersized CBS Premiere

Stephen Colbert‘s long-awaited “Late Show” debut will run a bit long itself: nine minutes, to be exact.

Tuesday’s premiere will begin at its normal 11:35 p.m. time, but run until 12:44 a.m., CBS said on Thursday. As a result, James Corden‘s “Late Late Show” will go until 1:44 a.m.

“The Late Show With Stephen Colbert” will welcome George Clooney and Jeb Bush in its premiere episode. Bandleader Jon Batiste and his group Stay Human will perform, along with other special guests.

Sixty-nine minutes later, Corden’s “Late Late Show” will feature Bradley Cooper, Jake McDorman, and Andrew Garfield, as well as a musical performance by Wiz Khalifa featuring Fall Out Boy.

Corden has been operating without a proper lead-in since David Letterman‘s retirement in May, so he probably won’t quibble over a slightly later start time that night.
