Edmond, is described as the strong patriarch of a close-knit family who moved to Chatswin for the schools, not the people. Edmond boasts one heck of a turkey meatball recipe, but blames himself for the childhood death of his younger brother. Both Edmond and Tracy, will appear the seventh and eighth episodes of Season 2.

Meadows is just one of several SNL vets to land a role on the ABC comedy. Ana Gasteyer and Chris Parnell play Sheila and Fred Shay, and Jay Mohr recurred last season as Dallas' now-ex-husband, Steve. Rachel Dratch is also set to guest-star in the second episode of the new season as a longtime frenemy of Sheila's.
