Sung Kang Cast In Fox Pilot ‘Gang Related’, Michael Rady In CBS Pilot ‘Intelligence’

The Fast and the Furious franchise’s Sung Kang is reuniting with the franchise’s writer Chris Morgan, this time in TV. Kang has been cast in the Fox drama pilot Gang Related, from 20th TV and Imagine TV. Written by Morgan and directed by Allen Hughes, Gang Related centers on Ryan Lopez (Ramon Rodriguez), a gang member sent in to infiltrate the San Francisco Police Department who rises through its ranks but must balance his obligations to his crime family with an increasing sense of loyalty to his new “family” — the SFPD’s Gang Task Force. Kang will play Tae Kim, an Asian gang specialist on loan from the FBI who refuses to celebrate Ryan’s achievements because he considers Ryan’s tactics dangerous and wasteful. Morgan and showrunner Scott Rosenbaum exec produce the pilot with Brian Grazer and Francie Calfo. Kang, repped by WME and Management 360, has starred in Fast & The Furious movies since the 2006 Tokyo Drift and next reprises his role as Han in the upcoming sixth installment, also penned by Morgan. He was recently seen in Bullet To The Head.

Emily Owens MD‘s Michael Rady will co-star opposite Josh Holloway in Intelligence, CBSdrama pilot from writer Michael Seitzman, ABC Studios and CBS TV Studios. Based on unpublished book Dissident by John Dixon, Intelligence is centered at U.S. Cyber Command and focuses on a unit that has been created around one agent with a very special gift — a microchip has been implanted in his brain that allows him to access the entire electromagnetic spectrum. Gersh-repped Rady will play Jameson, a federal investigator. He previously recurred on The Mentalist and House Of Lies.
