The Forbes list ranges from heads of state to entrepreneurs and CEOs, to billionaire activists, and philanthropists, with members ranked by money, media momentum, spheres of influence and impact.

Both Oprah Winfrey (No. 12) and Hillary Clinton have appeared on the ranking every year since its launch in 2004. Clinton has made her way up the list and currently sits just one spot away from the top title, just behind German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

Naturally, with 19 new names added to the list in 2015 means that 19 have been bumped off, including Lady Gaga, Gisele Bundchen and ex-Sony chief Amy Pascal.
