'Teen Mom' Amber Gets 5 Years Prison

Amber Portwood: I Tried To Kill Myself

Troubled Teen Mom star Amber Portwood is headed to prison today, after a judge reimposed her original prison sentence of five years for a December 2011 drug arrest.

Portwood had previously struck a plea agreement to complete a rehab program instead of doing jail time, but last week, to her lawyer's dismay, she requested that she be sent to prison rather than finish her stint in rehab.

Of course, Teen Mom viewers are already very familiar with the reality star's run-ins with the law. In 2010, she was charged with three felonies for domestic violence against her ex-fiancé, Gary Shirley, which was caught by MTV cameras and aired in an infamous episode of the hit MTV series. She was placed on two years probation, which she violated in 2011 when she got into a physical altercation and was found with prescription medication without having a prescription.

Her daughter Leah is now three years old.
