Thus far, the slick continuation — which stars original cast members Patrick Duffy, Larry Hagman and Linda Gray, as well as Josh Henderson and Jesse Metcalfe as their offspring — has been averaging 6.9 million viewers each week of its inaugural season.

Dallas has been a success for us on every level: pitch-perfect writing, smart directing and buzz-worthy performances by a new generation of stars and their iconic counterparts,” TNT, TBS and Turner Classic Movies programming head Michael Wright said in a statement, adding “it’s clear the Ewings of Southfork have once again captured the imagination of viewers.”

Dallas‘ Season 1 finale airs Aug. 15. The 15-episode sophomore run is slated to debut in 2013.
