Fox has given the green light to Stars in Danger: The High Dive, a two-hour special (airing Jan. 9) featuring eight celebrities taking a crash course and then competing in an Olympic-style diving competition.

Taking the flying leap, so to speak, are Jersey Shore’s Jenni “JWoww” Farley, Real Housewives Kim and Kyle Richards, pro surfer Bethany Hamilton, Baywatch alums Alexandra Paul and David Chokachi, Melrose Place‘s Antonio Sabato Jr. and NFL vet Terrell Owens.

As previously reported, ABC has a similar series — titled Celebrity Diving – bowing at midseason. The Alphabet net’s version, with Olympic gold medalist Greg Louganis as a judge, premieres March 19.
