Vanessa Williams celebrated America's birthday with a special celebration of her own! The singer and actress tied the knot with fiancé Jim Skrip on Saturday, July 4, People reports.
Williams announced her engagement to Skrip in September 2014 during an appearance on The Queen Latifah Show after Latifah joked about her new sparkler.
"I got engaged," she confirmed. "I have had a lot of good things happen. I turned 50 when we were in rehearsal [for Trip to Bountiful] on Broadway, I just got engaged a couple of weeks ago. It has been a lot of blessings on this trip."
Williams met Skrip, a former accountant, in 2013 during a trip to Egypt.
