On Sunday's episode of Last Week Tonight John Oliver took a new shot at FIFA.

"Despite being almost the dictionary definition of corruption," he said, "they've escaped any significant prosecution for decades. But that all ended on Wednesday."

Last week the U.S. Department of Justice announced that it is prosecuting FIFA officials for allegedly accepting more than $150 million in bribes, and is investigating the bidding process for the 2018 and 2022 World Cups, which will take place in Qatar and Russia.

Oliver mocked how FIFA officials were arrested, pointed out the treatment of female players and officials' behavior before getting to his main subject: FIFA president Sepp Blatter. Blatter was reelected to a fifth term last week and wasn't among those prosecuted by the Justice Department.

"The problem is all the arrests in the world are going to change nothing as long as Blatter is still there," Oliver said. "To truly kill a snake you must cut off its head -- or in this case, its a--hole."

To solve the problem, Oliver pleaded with FIFA sponsors to "make Sepp Blatter go away." In fact, the host made some pretty serious promises to Adidas, McDonald's and Budweiser if they pulled their support of FIFA.
