The co-hosts of “The View” got political on Friday, discussing the latest outrageous antics of Republican Presidential candidates Donald Trump and Ben Carson.

Joy Behar, Sherri Shepard, Michelle Collins and Raven-Symoné first discussed a recent Trump rally, where a Columbian woman was escorted up to the stage, after which she exclaimed, “I’m Hispanic and I vote for Mr. Trump! We vote for Mr. Trump! Yes! Mr. Trump! We love you! We love you, all the way to the White House!”

“It was definitely a set up,” Collins said. “The first thing she said was ‘I’m Hispanic,’ like it was written on the back of her hand. ‘I’m Hispanic and I love you, Mr. Trump.’ He was there pulling the strings, basically.”

Others were more skeptical, though Shepard did point out the circumstances were suspect.

“Normally you’re not allowed to bum-rush the stage like that,” she said. “If I tried to do that, they would yank me back by my Afro!”

While Behar joked, “You gotta love an immigrant who wants to stop immigration,” Raven-Symoné took a more serious approach, pointing out, “She doesn’t represent a lot of people, but she does represent a lot of people at the same time.”

The panelists then discussed Carson, who recently told CNN that the Holocaust might have been mitigated if Jewish people had been armed against the Nazis.

Collins, who is the granddaughter of four Holocaust survivors, took special offense to this line of logic.

“I talked to my mom about this. Back in the ’40s, these people were coming from small towns,” she said. “They were not raised to defend themselves. For him to victim-blame is disgusting.”

The panelists also took issue with Carson’s other recent comments about the school shooting in Oregon, after which he said if he were in the situation, he would have rallied other bystanders to rush the gunman.

“It’s ridiculous. You don’t know how you would feel in a situation like that,” said Behar.

“He also redirected a gunman when he was at Popeye’s,” Shepard brought up. “He said to the gunman who had pointed a gun at him, ‘I think you want the guy behind the counter.’ The problem I have with that is you deflected. You said, ‘Don’t kill me, kill him,’ so I don’t believe you when you say you would tell people to bum rush him, he’s going to kill me. You would say, no you go, because he’s going to kill you!”
