Carrie Underwood is headlining a huge star-studded television event, the three-hour stage performance of the classic Rodgers and Hammerstein musical The Sound of Music, and here is the first teaser-trailer! Will the live version live up to Julie Andrews' beloved 1965 film?
Since the performance will be performed live, the teaser offers a behind-the-scenes look at the chemistry of the actors during rehearsals. "Nobody does stuff like this, for one night," says Underwood, who will play leading lady Maria von Trapp, the role that Andrews immortalized decades ago. "The talent is off the charts. These people are amazing."
The performance also includes True Blood's Stephen Moyer, Go On's Laura Benanti, Private Practice's Audra McDonald, Smash's Christian Borle and many others.
The Sound of Music Live! will air December 5 on NBC. Will you watch?
