Ted Cruz is lining up a plan B should his White House bid fall short, with an assist from BuzzFeed.

The Texas Senator auditioned for a part on “The Simpsons,” angling to replace the departing Harry Shearer.

“But dad, I’m a vegetarian, I don’t eat animals,” Cruz whined, imitating Lisa Simpson. Next, he stepped into the legendary Homer Simpson’s voice.

“But Lisa, animals are so delicious; there’s the animal we get bacon from, the animal we get ham from, the animal we get sausage from.”

“But dad, that’s all the same animal,” Lisa — rather, Ted — shot back.

Cruz also gets political: “It’s really tough — forward, not backwards, upwards not downwards, and always twirling, twirling for freedom,” Cruz said, impersonating alien Kodos inhabiting the body of 1996 presidential candidate Bill Clinton.

Perhaps not surprisingly, Cruz’s most convincing impersonation was Ned Flanders.

“I have been told many times I have a face for radio, and I have a face for animation,” he concluded.
