Watch the First Eight Minutes of the 'Revolution' Midseason Premiere [Exclusive Video]

When the NBC drama returns, you won't believe who locks lips and what gets blown up.

"Revolution" fans, rejoice! After months of waiting, NBC's post-techpocalypse drama returns with new episodes on March 25, and we've got the first eight minutes of the midseason premiere right here.

Other than a handful of webisodes, this exclusive clip is the first new "Revolution" content that fans have seen since November.

Previously on "Revolution" ...

When we last saw Charlie (Tracy Spiridakos), Miles (Billy Burke), and the rest of the gang, they had just escaped the clutches of Sebastian Monroe. However, the group didn't get far before they were face-to-face with the Monroe Militia helicopters, powered by a pendant amplifier that Rachel (Elizabeth Mitchell) helped build.

The clip picks right up where the midseason cliffhanger left off. As the pilots begin to fire on Charlie and her allies, the group runs for cover. Just seconds after they take shelter in an abandoned diner, a helo-pilot fires right through the restaurant's windows, causing a massive explosion. Thankfully, our intrepid heroes manage to hide in a meat locker. They're unharmed by the blast and are able to make a hasty retreat.

Monroe's plan for continental domination

Back at Monroe Militia HQ, General Monroe (David Lyons) gets the news that no remains were recovered from the diner. He's clearly angry with Major Tom Neville (Giancarlo Esposito) for letting Miles get away in the first place. However, Monroe is far more preoccupied with his newfound ability to turn the lights back on.

Monroe instructs Tom to wipe out the rebel encampments using the choppers as a demonstration of his newly discovered power. After the rebels are toast, Monroe wants to take on the Plains Nation, Georgia, and California. For fans who have been obsessing over "Revolution" casting announcements during the long hiatus, that mention of Georgia is tantalizing. "24" alum Leslie Hope will appear later this season as President Foster, the leader of the Georgia Federation.

A passionate kiss

After sneaking past the militia by posing as undertakers, Miles, Nora (Daniella Alonso), Charlie, Aaron (Zak Orth), Danny (Graham Rogers), and Rachel start putting some serious distance between themselves and the militia's stronghold. While Nora shares a very passionate kiss with Miles, Aaron starts to ask Rachel for some answers about the pendants.

Just then, another helicopter takes to the sky above them. The chopper is on its way to West Chester, where the militia takes out an entire rebel camp in mere seconds.

What's next?

After Maggie's shocking death in the first half of the season, it's clear that any of the main characters could be killed off at any time. And with the Monroe Militia more powerful than ever, even more fan favorites could wind up dead before the season is out. If this clip is any indication of things to come, the upcoming episodes of "Revolution" will feature plenty of carnage.

"Revolution" returns on Monday, 3/25 at 10 PM on NBC.
