Whether serving his country as a World War I flying ace, trying to plant a kiss on Lucy, or whipping up what has become an iconic Thanksgiving feast for Charlie Brown and his friends, animated dog Snoopy earns a spot on the list of cutest TV dogs because he was so adorable and cool that he didn't even like to think of himself as a dog. The Daisy Hill Puppy Farm doggie made his first appearance in a "Peanuts" comic strip on Oct. 4, 1950, and was modeled after creator Charles Schulz's childhood dog, Spike (which is also the name of one of Snoopy's five brothers).
