Ben Stiller’s ‘SNL’ Appearance: What Did the ‘SNL’ Sketch Predictor Get Right?

Granted, the "SNL" Sketch Predictor is based on a combination of informed guesswork and pure imagination. But I will still get way too excited when I happen to be right about anything in the show. Below, a celebration of me and the things I accurately predicted — plus a couple of things I should have known to expect.

What I Got Right!

1. That there would be a sketch about Yom Kippur — it was the subject of Ben Stiller's monologue. Unfortunately, because the monologue featured a parody of "A World of Pure Imagination" from "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory," it didn't get cleared to get posted online. But trust me.

2. That there would be a sketch built around a movie star hosting a talk show. UNFORTUNATELY, "Best of Both Worlds with Hugh Jackman" isn't online either due to music clearance issues. "SNL," you are killing me!

3. That there would be some kind of reference to the Occupy Wall Street protests.

4. That there would be a reference to Madonna playing the half-time show at the Super Bowl.

5. That there would be a new promo for the Underground Festival.

AND IF YOU COUNT MY PREDICTIONS FOR THE MELISSA McCARTHY EPISODE....

6. That there would (at some point!) be a sketch about Chris Christie's decision not to run for President.

7. and 8. That there would (at some point!) be a joke about Nancy Grace, and that Abby Elliott would play her. (This was also in the lost Hugh Jackman talk-show sketch.)

What I Should Have Also Predicted!

1. That there would be a sketch about Hank Williams Jr.'s Hitler "joke."

2. That a sketch would indirectly reference "Zoolander."

3. That a sketch would directly reference "Zoolander."

4. That Stiller would do his Springsteen.
