Anna Faris’s ‘SNL’ Appearance: What Did the ‘SNL’ Sketch Predictor Get Right?
Granted, the "SNL" Sketch Predictor is based on a combination of informed guesswork and pure imagination. But I will still get way too excited when I happen to be right about anything in the show. Below, a celebration of me and the things I accurately predicted — plus a couple of things I should have known to expect.
What I Got Right!
1., 2. and 3. That the cold open would feature a politician giving an address; that said politician would be played by Fred Armisen; and that the episode would cover the Occupy Wall Street protests.
4. That host Anna Faris would take questions from the audience during the opening monologue.
5. and 6. That a sketch would feature Kenan Thompson as Herman Cain, and note his lead among GOP Presidential contenders.
7. and 8. That Bobby Moynihan would play a character during Weekend Update who commented on the NBA lockout, and that there would be a bit about the release of the iPhone 4S.
9. That Faris would appear as a guest on a foreign-accented talk show.
AND IF YOU COUNT MY HOST SUGGESTIONS FROM BEFORE THE SEASON EVEN STARTED....
10. That Charlie Day would host an episode this season — which he will, when the show returns November 5.
What I Should Have Also Predicted!
1. That the show would take advantage of Drake's acting ability to use him in sketches.
