Emma Stone’s ‘SNL’ Appearance: What Did the ‘SNL’ Sketch Predictor Get Right?

Granted, the "SNL" Sketch Predictor is based on a combination of informed guesswork and pure imagination. But I will still get way too excited when I happen to be right about anything in the show. Below, a celebration of me and the things I accurately predicted — plus a couple of things I should have known to expect.

What I Got Right!

1. and 2. That the show would open with a sketch about a Republican Presidential debate; and that the focus would be on Rick Perry (Bill Hader) performing horribly.

3. That Garth and Kat (Fred Armisen and Kristen Wiig) would appear on Weekend Update for a Thanksgiving-themed segment.

4. That host Emma Stone would reprise a premise from her first "SNL" episode (though it ended up not being her last Digital Short but "Les Jeunes de Paris," which isn't online due to, I assume, music clearance issues).

What I Should Have Also Predicted!

1. That Stone's "The Amazing Spider-Man" co-star (and alleged boyfriend) Andrew Garfield would cameo.

2. That the show would create a reason for Stone to do the southern accent she'd perfected for "The Help."

3. That the show would find a tasteful yet hilarious way to address the Penn State scandal.
